Our band includes a dynamic host who is also an amazing singer. She will begin the event by singingĀ well known dance songs to loosen the audience and demonstrate the concept. If there are special requests or if we run out of singers (which never happens) we will simply keep playing as a dance band.
The lyrics are displayed, Karaoke-style, on TVs. One will be on stage, directed at the singers, and the other is directed at the audience so they can sing-along. The lyrics can also be projected on screens in venues that include this.
We would be happy to consider adding your special song, if we have time to create a video file for it, and if we have time to learn it. Because we use a movie file to create scolling, karaoke-style lyrics, adding new songs can be quite time consuming, but feel free to ask.
We are located in Toronto but are available to perform anywhere. We have done events across Canada from Victoria to Halifax, and in many American cities as well.
Most of our events are private or corporate, however every year we usually perform at a couple of public events. Recently we have performed at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, and at the Burlington Sound of Music festival. We also regularly perform in venues at many Ontario colleges and universities, which are often open to the public.
I am sure you can… but probably not with us on the night of your event. In order to keep things moving we prefer to keep the instruments to ourselves, mainly because the system we use for keeping the band in sync with the scrolling lyrics requires a lot of practice from our musicians.
Yes! Live band karaoke is an experience best shared with a group, so we encourage group sing-alongs. But if you want to take your star turn, you are welcome to go it alone. You will be standing with the band, so you are never really alone anyway.
